With a video campaign, the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry called for a strong Europe as the basis for successful economic action in the run-up to the European elections.

"While the Federal Government is working on an industrial concept, it is forgetting the concrete concerns of small and medium-sized enterprises. That is causing material problems," so Ingeborg Neumann, Ppresident of the Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry, in the guest commentary of German national newspaper Handelsblatt.

Textile network is focusing this year on the shortage of skilled workers and young talents in the textile industry. Zwickauer Kammgarn Spinnerei is struggling with rising costs for raw materials. The management therefore wants to change tack.

Currently, 25 young people from six countries are undergoing vocational training.
