Peppermint develops sustainable and intelligent industrial products. The owner-managed industrial group, founded in 1997 and based in Berlin, employs around 400 people in Germany and other European locations.

Ingeborg Neumann
Founder & Managing Partner
Ingeborg is a respected representative of the German economy and advocates for sustainability, women in leadership positions and her passion for promoting art. As the first woman to head the German textil+mode Association and as Vice President of the Federation of German Industries, she is committed to a sustainable economic system. As founder of Peppermint, she is an experienced investor and fund manager in the field of venture capital.

Marcus is an experienced entrepreneur and advanced negotiator who started his career in controlling and finance with international industrial companies. As Managing Partner of Peppermint Group, he focuses on developing the group and its people and improving operational excellence. As a passionate jazz musician, his life is closely linked to culture.

1997 Foundation
Foundation of the Peppermint Group, including the acquisition of the ZKS spinning mill (yarn solutions since 1835), the Ertex Jacquard weaving mill (since 1883), and the Color Textil finishing plant.
since 2000 Venture Capital Engagement
Peppermint Holding is involved in a wide range of companies as an investor and accelerator, including Peppermint Venture Partners.
2001 Acquisition of spinning mill in Czechia
Peppermint acquires what would later become the ZKS spinning mill in Miletin, Czechia, and continuously expands the site over the following years.
2005 Expansion into Romania
Establishment of the Jacquard weaving mill Ertex International in Romania.
2017 Major fire in textile finishing plant
Major fire at the Color Textil printing and finishing plant in Frankenberg, Saxony. Over 100 volunteer firefighters and THW rescue workers extinguished the blaze. All 18 employees working the night shift were able to escape unharmed. The business unit was closed as a result of the fire.
2019 Second location in Romania
The new building in Codlea will be the second production site for the jacquard weaving company Ertex International in Romania.
2020 Merger TZAMPAS
Merger of the food start-up TZAMPAS, founded in 2018, with ETHCL Food Labs and continuation of the TZAMPAS brand. Peppermint Holding supported TZAMPAS as an early-stage investor and remains on board as a shareholder.
2020 Exit of the first venture fund
The first Peppermint Venture Capital Fund was successfully closed.
2021 Investment in authentic.network
Following an initial investment in authentic.network, Peppermint is investing once again in blockchain technology to combat product counterfeiting.
2022 25 years of Peppermint
Peppermint celebrates 25 years of success with a big party for partners and employees.
2023 Investment in R3 Solutions
Peppermint Holding is expanding its existing involvement and acquiring a majority stake in R3 Solutions, the expert in secure and wireless communication.
2026 Closure of worsted spinning mills
After 130 years, we will discontinue the operations of Zwickauer Kammgarnspinnereien as of January 31, 2026, for economic reasons. They will remain in our memory as a significant part of Peppermint’s history, shaped by dedication, tradition, and a strong sense of community.
