A New Work by Ayşe Erkmen, a Continued Commitment: Peppermint and the “Endless Exhibition”

The “Endless Exhibition” at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, supported by Peppermint, has gained a new, highly visible artwork. The installation by internationally renowned artist Ayşe Erkmen has been on display on the museum’s façade since the end of August 2026.

Marking the 30th anniversary of Hamburger Bahnhof, Ayşe Erkmen’s “no time/no flower” draws on the building’s distinctive history. The gleaming gold, symbol-like installation covers the clock on the eastern tower and the rose window on the western tower, referencing both the building’s original function as a railway station and its present-day role as a museum of contemporary art.

The “Endless Exhibition” now comprises 23 artworks, bringing together art, architecture, history and Berlin’s urban landscape. Since 2023, a new site-specific work has been added each year and permanently incorporated into the Nationalgalerie collection.
